Why "take" CBD with the lungs?
Experts in CBD extract from industrial hemp know that CBD is also beneficial for health when inhaled. Are you curious about why, how, and what you can inhale CBD with?
For those of you who don't know CBD, it's one of the main cannabinoids found in the dried female flowers of industrial hemp. CBD supports the functioning of the endocannabinoid system, the overarching information system that constantly keeps us healthy. This means that there is almost no part of the body that this cannabinoid doesn't affect.
Various levels of evidence confirm that CBD protects the nervous system and brain, promotes nerve cell regeneration, and as an antioxidant protects us from free radicals. In addition, it has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects, regulates glucose levels, protects blood vessels, improves blood flow to the heart and brain, relieves pain, contributes to better sleep, and has anti-cancer effects...
Beneficial cannabinoids from industrial hemp (CBD, CBG, etc.) can be introduced into the body in several ways. The most well-known is the consumption of cannabinoids in the form of CBD resin (hemp extract), but recently the most popular is the consumption of CBD drops. In these, the CBD resin is diluted in a base oil, which allows for precise dosing. However, inhaling CBD has recently become increasingly popular. There are several advantages to this type of use.
Benefits of inhaling CBD?
The bioavailability of CBD in the body is higher when inhaled than when taken orally. When CBD is ingested (for example, with food or if swallowed), only about 15 percent of it is absorbed into the body through the digestive tract. In addition, CBD does not enter the blood directly through the mucous membranes of the digestive tract, but first goes to the liver, where it is partially consumed or broken down, and the rest is released into the bloodstream. This means that some CBD is lost on the way through the liver before it finally reaches the bloodstream. On the other hand, the absorption of CBD through the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract is about 50 to 60 percent. When CBD is inhaled through the lungs, it is immediately released directly into the bloodstream. This type of “consumption” of CBD is not only more effective, but also faster. When inhaled, the effects of CBD are felt after just one minute, which is 30 to 90 minutes faster than when taken orally. This is especially useful for managing acute problems, when a quick effect is needed. Because CBD is more efficiently absorbed through the lungs, the dose can be reduced accordingly. This means that inhaling smaller amounts of CBD can achieve the same effect as taking larger amounts orally. However, the effects of ingested CBD are slightly longer-lasting, so it makes sense to combine the two forms of administration.
Another tip: to get the most out of oral CBD consumption, try to apply CBD resin/CBD drops under your tongue and hold them there for about ten minutes without swallowing your saliva. This will ensure that the CBD is absorbed into the bloodstream through the oral mucosa as much as possible. The mucosa under the tongue contains many capillaries and tiny blood vessels, through which CBD can enter the bloodstream directly.
CBD preparations for inhalation
In addition to CBD preparations intended for consumption, there is a range of CBD preparations available on the market for inhalation. Dried female industrial hemp flowers, which contain a lot of CBD, can be inhaled. CBD resin is also suitable for inhalation, which is intended for consumption, but also for anal and vaginal use. Various inhalation or vaporization liquids containing CBD are available for inhalation purposes only.
It is important to note that when inhaling CBD products, you will not inhale THC, as they do not contain it, or if they do, it is in the minimum legally permitted amounts. This means that you will not feel any psychoactive effects after inhaling.
Although vaporizers (e-cigarettes) designed to inhale nicotine inhalation liquids are also used to inhale CBD inhalation liquids, high-quality CBD inhalation liquids are something completely different. It is known that nicotine inhalation liquids contain, in addition to nicotine, harmful chemicals such as carcinogenic nitrosamines and diethylene glycol, which is a common ingredient in antifreeze. High-quality CBD inhalation liquids consist of CBD extract from industrial hemp and natural, harmless ingredients (glycerin and propanediol), which are intended for easier vaporization. Natural aromas, such as cannabis, are added to CBD liquids intended for relaxation to make the experience even more pleasant. CBD inhalation liquids are, for example, intended for relaxation or calming the mind to help overcome everyday challenges. They can also be used to support the body with various health problems, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, insomnia, digestive problems, joint and muscle pain, migraine, arthritis, anxiety, depression, Alzheimer's disease, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, etc.
What to use for CBD inhalation?
If you are not going to inhale CBD the traditional way, i.e. by smoking a cigarette or joint filled with dried female industrial hemp flowers rich in CBD and with a permitted concentration of THC, which is the least suitable therapy, you will need an inhaler or vaporizer to inhale it. There are those that you can use only at home, but also those that you can put in your purse or pocket and carry with you.
"Home" vaporizers include electric vaporizers that allow you to adjust the heating temperature. In them, you can vaporize or sublimate dried female industrial hemp flowers, as well as other herbs (sage, thyme, etc.) at different temperatures. The advantage of a vaporizer over cigarettes is that we extract the active ingredients from dried herbs without burning them. When vaporizing with steam, we also do not inhale harmful substances that are produced during cigarette smoking (tar, carbon monoxide, etc.). If the type of vaporizer allows it, you can also vaporize CBD resin or ready-made CBD inhalation or vaporization liquids with it. In terms of price, desktop vaporizers (sublimators or vaporizers) are quite a bit, and they are particularly suitable for use in case of serious health problems - they were developed for this purpose. Instead of this vaporizer, you can also use an ordinary salt inhaler at home, which is intended for inhaling salt vapor in case of respiratory problems. You can only use CBD inhalation or vaporization liquids in such an inhaler. You drop the appropriate amount of CBD liquid into salt water and then inhale.
There are also various mobile vaporizers, for example the size of a fountain pen (e-cigarette), which operate on a rechargeable battery. With them, you can inhale dried female industrial hemp flowers, CBD resin or just CBD inhalation or vaporization liquids - depending on the type of vaporizer. Mobile vaporizers, which everyone can afford, are usually designed specifically for inhaling inhalation liquids. When you drip CBD inhalation or vaporization liquid into it, it heats it precisely and vaporizes it using the convection or conduction method.
An example of beneficial CBD inhalation
CBD inhalation liquids are therefore not only used for relaxation, but also as an aid in managing various health problems. Let's look at an example of how CBD inhalation liquid works. Dr. Z. Škodova, a general practitioner and homeopath from Prague, describes the effect of CBD inhalation on a 51-year-old woman suffering from menopausal symptoms. The problems manifested themselves in the form of emotional lability, insomnia, mild hot flashes and headaches. The lady used Deprema inhalation liquid. After a few days, she slept much better, was more relaxed and generally much calmer.
