Hormonal imbalance, nervousness and headaches
Hormonal imbalance
In this article, I will touch on women and some solutions for hormonal imbalance and problems, for nervousness and migraine headaches. Sometimes we experience this all at once before a period or an extremely stressful event.
I could argue that almost every woman has hormonal imbalances at some point in her life. This, of course, means increased nervous system excitability and fatigue.
I myself had several such experiences, but the experience after giving birth stuck in my memory the most. I was in a kind of blissful state during my pregnancy, and then I collapsed. Hormones were raging, irritability was on the rise, I didn't sleep for more than three hours at a stretch, I was breastfeeding, I cut out sugar, gave up meat, the skin on my back, or nerves hurt, and I got a headache for the first time.
I was convinced that I was eating right, but my body was telling me the opposite.
Hormonal imbalance and listening to the body
Fortunately, I decided to listen to my body, because I always believed that nature is extremely intelligent and that it took care of all the processes. Based on the symptoms, I found that my endocannabinoid system was out of balance, I had a severe deficiency of b vitamins (mainly pantothenic acid-B5 and B6-pyridoxine), my hormones were out of balance due to improper sleep.
I didn't manage to regulate my sleep for another three years because of breastfeeding, and even today I sleep less than some other people, but I don't run out of energy. Because I took care of support on other levels.
It's true that I stopped sugar literally overnight, which was an additional stress, because I started eating the exact cakes that my husband and I made at home every week. But I wasn't consistent and I didn't soak the nuts overnight. The shell of the nuts is said to contain "antinutrients" (phytic acid), which prevents good absorption of minerals through the intestines. When I started soaking them regularly, I felt better, the cake was no longer heavy, the need for sweets decreased, and the skin on my back stopped hurting.
Hormonal imbalance and healthy fats
At the same time, I also introduced more fats in the form of avocados, raw dairy products and eggs. After a year and a half, I ate some meat again. It took a few weeks for me to start noticing big changes. Especially in the mood. I wasn't irritable anymore, I had more energy, I got more rest at night.
The most important change was, of course, this calmness, which was decisive for such a small child. If the mother is calm, the child also feels safe and the husband is more satisfied.
I was disturbed by occasional headaches, which were a sign of detoxification that needed better support with fats and fluids. Since raw butter does not go down my throat easily, in such moments I reach for virgin coconut butter. If one teaspoon was not enough, after half an hour I took another teaspoon and the headache subsided. At the same time, I drank two more glasses of water at once.
When I realized years ago how important the endocannabinoid system plays in all these processes, I naturally reached for cannabis, and it has been my regular companion ever since. The headaches disappeared, but it's true that I didn't have them often myself. My husband used to have migraine headaches with aura, which disappeared years ago when we introduced dietary changes. If a mild headache occurs, he takes cannabis and fat and the situation subsides and he continues his day normally. Of course, I always aim for the headache to disappear in the long run, this is only possible if we recognize the cause of this headache.
I am still maintaining my hormonal balance with cannabis, as well as his calmness and at the same time high energy. When it comes to nutrition, I adhere to the principle of taking in enough quality raw fats, without which the hormonal, nervous and endocannabinoid systems cannot function properly. Fatty acids are the basic building blocks. When I eat too many of them, my body just warns me because the fat just doesn't suit me anymore.
From time to time I add a spagyric mushroom to my daily routine, especially Fringed wart, medicinal mushroom Hericium erinaceus, solution, because it takes care of the restoration of the myelin sheath and at the same time soothes the stomach, but MEDICINAL MUSHROOM CORDYCEPS, which increases oxygen in the cells and consequently speeds up the recovery of the whole body and increases energy in the body, and finally Auricularia (elder mushroom) - Medical mushroom AURICULARIA, which greatly improves fat metabolism and protects the cardiovascular system, which is often overloaded due to stress. Medicinal mushrooms and CBD drops they really work synergistically on our processes and very efficiently.
In women, hormonal fluctuations are sometimes very noticeable before menstruation, headaches also appear at the same time, but this is only a sign of an already existing imbalance. My premenstrual fluctuations changed precisely because of the consumption of fats and CBD drops. My skin is also better, there is no sign of various acne and pimples, except when some major detoxification is triggered, and even then a pimple or two, which disappear by applying CBD ointment or just with shea butter.
The hormonal and endocannabinoid system
My own experiences helped me to understand more deeply that no process in the body is separate from another, the hormonal system is not separate from endocannabinoid system, the headache is not separate from what I put into my body or how I feel, and when I put everything in its place, I find a solution to my problem.
Women too often forget about ourselves and this fragile balance between our hormones, endocannabinoid system and nervousness. But loving yourself is the highest form of love, because from this comes love for another and the ability to care for another without destroying and forgetting yourself.
The result will be greater satisfaction, more energy and will to live, more creativity, more courage and laughter.
